SOS!SEN runs regular hands on training sessions to help parents on topics such as how to appeal an EHC Plan or how to prepare for a Tribunal hearing.

Donations: We are an independent charity and rely on donations through our workshops, 1:1 meetings, fundraising events, and our charity shops in Hampton Hill and Worcester Park . This allows us to give you impartial and legally based advice.

All of our workshops are at our office opposite Hampton Court train station. Address: Fontenay, 11a Creek Road, East Molesey, Surrey. KT8 9BE

Saturday 24th March 2018

led by Marion Strudwick, SOS!SEN Senior SEN Specialist

Time: 9:30/10:00am to 4.00pm

This workshop will give parents an overview of the EHCP and all it’s sections. It will include the sections that can or cannot be appealed to the SEN Tribunal. It will cover the contents of an EHCP and how to check for accuracy and levels of severity and the importance of the presentation of needs and the relationship to other sections. The workshop will also give parents/carers an understanding of “outcomes” and the vital importance of getting this section right.

We offer to run Workshops for organisations and special interest groups, who would benefit from hearing about what we do and what help we are able to provide.

We could come to one of your regular meetings or one of your events and would tailor it to your needs.

Eleanor Wright, our coordinator and solicitor has been to a number of events this year as a guest speaker and has given training to parents, school staff and interested groups on the new EHC plan system based on legal facts and parental rights.

Contact our admininistration team, if you would like to explore the possibility on  Whilst we would not seek to charge for this, we would normally expect a donation to reflect the time and effort involved, travel expenses and ask the venue to photocopy documents to use at the session.
